Willard D. Oberton
President and CEO
Willard Oberton


Will Oberton joined Fastenal in 1980 as a part-time warehouse worker. Since then he has served in various sales, operational, and, ultimately, management roles, including chief operating officer (March 1997 through December 2002), vice president (March 1997 through June 2000), and executive vice president (June 2000 through July 2001). He was named president of the company in July 2001 and has served as CEO since December 2002. He has been a company director since June 1999.



Daniel L. Florness

Daniel Florness Born 1963


Dan Florness has served as Fastenal's chief financial officer since joining the company in 1996, taking over the duties of treasurer in 1997. Prior to joining Fastenal Dan spent 10 years working for KPMG Peat Marwick LLP in Minneapolis and New York. He grew up in western Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, earning a bachelor's degree in accounting in 1986.





Nicholas J. Lundquist

Nicholas Lundquist Born 1957


Nick Lundquist began his Fastenal career in 1979 as a trainer but quickly moved on to become assistant manager of our Madison, WI store. Beginning in 1980, he served as store manager in Minneapolis, Beloit (WI), and Indianapolis before being promoted to hub manager in Indianapolis and, later, Winona. He went on to become regional manager in 1991 and sales manager in 1997. He has served in his present role since 2001, in which capacity he is responsible for sales and operational oversight for Fastenal's U.S. regional business units based out of our distribution centers east of the Mississippi River.


Leland J. Hein

Leland Hein Born 1961


Lee Hein originally joined Fastenal in 1985. During his company tenure he has held various sales roles, most recently serving as a regional vice president of Fastenal's Winona and Kansas City based regions. His current responsibilities include sales and operational oversight for our U.S. regional business units based out of our distribution centers west of the Mississippi River.





Steven A. Rucinski

Steven Rucinski Born 1957


Steve Rucinski has served in various sales roles since joining Fastenal in 1980, most recently serving as senior vice president of strategic accounts and, previously, as regional vice president of our Winona based region. Currently Steve spearheads sales and operational oversight for our regional business units based in Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia, as well as our global strategic accounts.





Reyne K. Wisecup

Reyne Wisecup


Reyne Wisecup has served as a director of the company since June 2000. She has been Fastenal's director of employee development since April 2002 and the company's director of human resources since April 1997. She was named executive vice president - human resources in November 2007.






James C. Jansen

James Jansen Born 1970


Since 1992 James "Cory" Jansen has served in various support, operational and sales roles with Fastenal, including regional vice president of our Dallas based region. He currently directs Fastenal's systems development, overseeing both information systems and distribution systems, while also leading product and merchandising development.
